As part of this team, you will:
  • Develop, optimize and analyze optical designs for complex optical measurement systems
  • Predict the optical performance of optical measurement setups based on complex simulations
  • Develop and continuously enhance the associated simulation programs and software tools
  • Collaborate closely with other specialist departments to design optical systems that meet our demanding requirements
  • Document your development results and present them in a clear, concise and comprehensible manner
Your Profile:
  • You have successfully completed a STEM degree with excellent academic results; a PhD or equivalent professional experience would be an advantage
  • Experience in optical design is a significant advantage
  • You have excellent simulation and programming skills, preferably in Python, and have successfully applied them in larger-scale projects
  • You have strong mathematical and theoretical expertise as well as excellent problem-solving skills in the fields of optimization and numerical methods
  • You have a solid basic understanding of physical and technical optics and are motivated to continuously expand your expertise
  • You demonstrate a high level of teamwork, initiative, accountability and commitment
